This brochure is souped up with all the right features, but it's the gloss-matte contrast and high octane color that really rev people's engines. We achieved the stunning look using a technique called UV strikethrough, where matte varnish and gloss UV are applied in one pass through our press. (The UV inks make the color pop, too.) Because the coating comes off the press dry, we can turn the pages over immediately, run the flip side and then take it all to the bindery. A catalog like Fiat's can be completed in 10 days from proofing to pack-out.
